BBQ Cook-Off Team Information & Registration

Event & Judging Date: Saturday, February 17, 2024, | 11 AM to 3 PM

Team Check-In: Friday, February 16, 2024, from 12 PM to 5 PM

Mandatory Captain Meeting: Friday, February 16, 2024, at 5:45 PM (time subject to change)

Backyard Team Entry Fee: $100     Corporate Team Entry Fee: $1,500

All teams are eligible to compete for the $1,500 Grand Champion Prize!

Plus, three meat categories: Brisket, Pork, and Ribs
1st Place ($500) 
2nd Place ($250)
3rd Place ($100)

Backyard Teams will compete for their own special People’s Choice Award and prize!

Corporate Challenge Teams will compete for the coveted Golden Pig Trophy, which is the separate corporate version of the People’s Choice Award that the winner can proudly display until the 2024 event.

New in 2024, a team party will occur on Friday from 7 PM to 10 PM. More details will be emailed to you no later than a week before the main event.

How to Register:

  1. Decide if you are competing as a Backyard Team or Corporate Challenge Team
  2. Review the Official Competition Rules (The rules page includes a link to the printable version that must be signed and returned to the EFSC Foundation)
  3. If you want to pay online, choose the option below.
  4. To pay the entry fee by mail, send a check to:

  5. Mail a signed copy of the rules to that address or email a signed and scanned copy to Dawn Niehoff at niehoffd@easternflorida.edu prior to entering the BBQ site on Friday, February 16, 2024.
